Dawoud + Jimmy Lopez

Dawoud (sitar) has studied various styles of music from Indian raga and Arabic maqam to jazz and electronica. He will be performing improvisations on ancient and modern motifs and themes that cross cultural boundaries.

Jimmy Lopez (percussion) is a lover, student, and explorer of world percussion instruments and electronics. Combining global ethnic playing techniques with his diverse percussion palette, Lopez has collaborated and toured regularly with popular musicians and groups. When not traveling, he is a music educator in public schools.
