Guided Meditation, Sound Bath, and Live Music

Shift your physical and mental state and immerse yourself in vibrational sound therapy beginning with a guided meditation led by Shambhala teacher Lodro Rinzler, followed by a savasana sound bath with sound therapist and artist Sara Auster, and live music by composer and multi-instrumentalist Nacho Arimany.

A pre-program tour of the Tibetan Buddhist Shrine Room will meet at the base of the Spiral Lobby at 6:15 p.m.

About the Instructors

Lodro Rinzler is the youngest senior teacher in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage and the author of five books on meditation including the best-selling The Buddha Walks into a Bar“¦ and the award-winning books Walk Like a Buddha and The Buddha Walks into the Office”¦ Over the last fifteen years he has spoken at meditation centers, businesses, college campuses, and locations as diverse as Google, Harvard University, and Capitol Hill. His work has been featured in the New York Times, the Atlantic, and the Wall Street Journal as well as on WBUR, FOX, and the CBC. In addition to serving as the Chief Spiritual Officer of M N D F L, Rinzler is the founder of the Institute for Compassionate Leadership.

Sara Auster is a teacher, sound therapist, and artist who has studied yoga, meditation, and various healing modalities with master teachers since 2003. Auster offers weekly asana and sound meditation classes and private healing sessions in New York City as well as international workshops and retreats.

Nacho Arimany was known as one of Spain’s most sought after flamenco percussionists when he moved to New York in 2009. Arimany’s unique style and diverse capabilities ultimately steered him into the broader scopes of world music and jazz, where he has performed and recorded with Lionel Loueke, Lizz Wright, and Angelique Kidjo. His work, which incorporates elements of jazz and flamenco, presents world and natural sounds with influences of Eastern melodies and Indian and West African percussion.
