Jimmy Lopez + Michael Burdi

Jimmy Lopez (percussion) is a lover, student, and explorer of world percussion instruments and electronics. Combining global ethnic playing techniques with his diverse percussion palette, Lopez has collaborated and toured regularly with popular musicians and groups. When not traveling, he is a music educator in public schools.

Michael Burdi (oud) is a native Brooklyn musician primarily playing oud and guitar. His music draws from his Syrian/Lebanese roots as well as world influences. Michael plays original compositions alongside traditional Middle Eastern music for a diverse musical experience. He performs regularly around New York City with Baharat Band and other musical collaborations.
