The A.L.T. Trio

The A.L.T. Trio is Chris Agar (bass), Jimmy Lopez (percussion) andJoe Tisdall (classical guitar).

Chris Agar was born and raised just north of Detroit, and is an electric and upright bassist with a passion for all styles of music. He attended the University of Michigan where he studied jazz acoustic bass with the esteemed Robert Hurst, and upon graduation Chris uses his knowledge and passion for all styles of music to provide the foundation in musical settings ranging from folk to jazz to Broadway.

Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, Jimmy Lopez is a lover, student, explorer and experimenter with world percussion instruments and electronics. Combining global ethnic playing techniques along with his diverse percussion palette, Jimmy has collaborated and toured regularly with popular musicians and groups. When not traveling, Jimmy is also a music educator in public schools for children & also generously shares his knowledge with fellow musicians.

Joe Tisdall is a multi-instrumentalist from Ridgewood, Queens. Trained in guitar, bass, drums, piano, and flute, he studied jazz and classical music from a young age in Philadelphia and now brings his versatility to the creative outlets of New York City.
