There’s more to Tantra than most people realize! Join us for a special tour series illuminating the esoteric rituals of Tantra, which Tibetan Buddhists have used for centuries on the path to enlightenment. Explore the iconography and symbols in Tantric artworks and how they relate to the practice of achieving Buddhahood in one lifetime.

About the Docent

Tess Sholom has been a docent at the Rubin Museum since 2007. A retired jewelry designer, she owns a business designing high-fashion costume jewelry, pioneering this niche along with a few other designers in the 1980s in New York City. She also founded a group called the Fashion Accessories Designers Association (FADA). Her passion for jewelry and the arts shines through on her tours. As an educator and art lover, she enjoys exploring complex topics with visitors. Tantra is one of them.
