The Yogas of the Bhagavad Gita

Learn more about enlightened buddhas, naked nagas, tantric deities, and screaming yogini of Himalayan art. Join us for a six-part tour series about the roots of yoga and its diverse history and practices throughout the ages. Sessions will range from ancient Buddhist and Hindu yoga to more contemporary sutras and postures in connection with the art in the Rubin Museum collection.

About the Instructor

Antoinette Maclachlan began training as a docent at the Rubin in 2008 and continues to lead tours and programs at the Museum, always expanding her interest in Asian art. She spent ten years living in Tokyo as a designer and artist before relocating to New York. She travels to India every year to indulge her passion for Indian art and architecture. In 2006 she started the Kids Postcard Project, which connects art and disadvantaged children in Mumbai, India.
