Inventor and Harvard professor David Edwards launches his digital scent project oNotes with the help of an olfactory neurobiologist and”¦you. Bring your smartphone and be prepared to share it with your neighbor for a swipe-and-sniff experience.



About the Speakers David Edwards is a creator, scientist, and visionary whose work lies at the boundaries of artistic, design, and scientific practice. His biannual collaborations with artists, designers, chefs, composers, and perfumers reflect his work at Harvard University, where he is professor of the practice of idea translation.

Edwards’s creative work today focuses on sensorial design and the emergence of a new food system, including his invention of air food, edible packaging, and digital scent. He has won many national and international awards and is one of the youngest elected members of the National Academies of Engineering in the USA and in France, a member of the National Academy of Inventors, and a Chevalier of arts and letters of the French Ministry of Culture.
