Consciousness Hacking: Mind-Expanding Film Experiences
This September, Cabaret Cinema is teaming up with up The Consciousness Hacking Movement to celebrate films that transform the way we think and feel about the world around us.
On September 9th Mikey Siegel (founder of Consciousness Hacking) will kick things off with a very special presentation on what “consciousness hacking” actually is and how watching great films can be a mind-transforming experience. Mikey will guide the audience through a series of “art house” short films arranged to facilitate a transformative inner journey.
The procedure for the following three film experience occurring on September 16, 23, and 30 will be to screen select films that exemplify the three principal dimensions of consciousness hacking: 1) Contemplation, 2) Psychedelic Journey, and 3) Technological Innovation. These events will be hosted by Dr. Christopher Kelley (co-founder of Consciousness Hacking NYC), and will also feature special guests from the local Consciousness Hacking NYC community.
Consciousness Hacking is a movement at the threshold of discovery where science, spirit, and humanity converge with technology. Seeking to enhance and strengthen the beneficial aspects of the human experience, Consciousness Hacking employs are range of innovative tools that cultivate joy, beauty, community, and inner peace.
Christopher Kelley holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University where he studied Tibetan Buddhism with Professor Robert A. F. Thurman. Kelley is the co-founder and co-organizer of Consciousness Hacking NYC, co-founder of The Columbia Society for Comparative Philosophy, and the creator of two international academic conferences on Buddhism in the modern world: Mind and Reality.
Mikey Siegel is the founder of Biofluent, a consciousness tech design studio, co-founder of the Transformative Technology Conference, and is the visionary behind the budding Consciousness Hacking movement. His current interests center around creating tools that facilitate people’s own path toward higher consciousness, self-realization, awakening, and the experience of transcendence.
