Inside the Mandala

A Virtual Gala

Wednesday, October 21, 2020
6:00 PM–7:00 PM

Enter the portal of the Rubin Museum and celebrate the timeless wisdom of Himalayan art at our first virtual gala! During this special evening fundraiser you’ll explore the mandala—awakening the mind, body, and heart while opening doors to our inner world to better navigate the outer world.

Journey with guest artists who take inspiration from the four main rooms of the mandala palace.

Guests include artist Laurie Anderson, integrative medicine pioneer Deepak Chopra MD, author of Emotional Intelligence Dr. Daniel Goleman, teachers and lineage holders Mingyur Rinpoche and Ponlop Rinpoche, drum performer Sivamani, choreographer Preeti Vasudevan, neuroscience researcher Ana Lucia Valencia, emotion scientist Dr. Tracy Dennis-Tiwary and her family, and Rubin Museum teaching artist Erin Reid.

Embrace your emotions through performances, rituals, and insights from some of our favorite artists, practitioners, and scientists.

Open doors to a Rubin yet to come, as we invite you to witness how the Museum’s third floor—with a mandala-inspired design—will become a center of emotional learning, art, and inspiration for children and adults alike.

With your generosity, the Rubin will evolve in the coming year so we can continue our mission of sharing the transformative power of Himalayan art, ideas, and culture.

This fundraiser is free to attend.
