Marie Howe is a noted American poet whose first book, The Good Thief, was selected by Margaret Atwood as the winner of the 1987 Open Competition of the National Poetry Series. Her most recent collection is The Kingdom of Ordinary Time. With former publisher turned writer Christopher Potter she will talk about the “something” that often seems to be “nothing,” and the “nothing” that might be “something,” looking for clues in the poems of Robert Frost, Emily Dickinson, and others.
