From the newly renovated Café to the state-of-the-art theatre, the Rubin Museum offers a wide range of event-space options that can be uniquely tailored to fit any theme or function. Below, you’ll find information on five spaces in the Museum waiting to be transformed for your next special event.
ART LOUNGE
Our Art Lounge, located on our Theatre level, is perfect for intimate receptions, meetings, and cocktail parties. During Museum hours, this peaceful spot is perfect to relax with some tea and a good book. Be sure to stop by during your next visit!
CAFE SERAI
Our Café is an ideal spot for you to grab some tea or coffee, sweet treats, or savory bites. The space boasts a calming, tranquil atmosphere during the day and transitions into our K2 Lounge on Friday evenings, when we serve tapas and drink specials all night long!
THEATRE
Our state-of-the-art theatre is a popular destination among Museum visitors. With flexible seating and a built-in AV booth, we are able to host private film screenings, concerts, board meetings, and presentations.
COLONNADE
The Rubin Museum’s Café Serai seamlessly transitions into an elegant event space with hundreds of lighting options, flexible seating, and nearly 4,000 square feet of space. This location has been home to several private functions, including live auctions, corporate receptions, birthday parties, and more!
SPIRAL LOBBY
Right past our main entrance is the beautiful Spiral Lobby, which accentuates the Museum’s dramatic architecture. The space has hosted several wedding ceremonies, cocktail receptions, and musical performances.
