Ali Cramer, a senior teacher at Laughing Lotus NY and Yoga Shanti NY, and Morley Kamen, a singer/songwriter and activist, come together for a special evening of movement, music, and meditation at the Rubin Museum. Cramer will guide an open-level vinyasa flow accompanied by the soulful and inspirational music of Morley, who will be joined by Josh Geisler on bansuri.

Please bring your own mat (required) and yoga blocks (optional).


About the Speakers

Ali Cramer is the director of the Ayurveda program at Laughing Lotus and a senior teacher in their 200-hour teacher training program. She leads retreats, workshops, and master classes both nationally and internationally. Cramer is honored to have led the first yoga teacher training program in the Sudan and to be a guest teacher on the faculty of Columbia University’s psychology and spirituality program. Morley uses music as a tool for conflict resolution and dialogue facilitation when working with youth and adults from conflict zones. She has presented for TEDWomen and a string of TEDx events. Her song “Women of Hope” has brought her before many world leaders and policy makers, including His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Richard Branson, and Ban Ki-moon.

She has written, collaborated, and shared the stage with such distinguished artists as Yungchen Lhamo, Dr. Bernice Johnson Reagon, Toshi Reagon, Angélique Kidjo, Dave Matthews, Sheryl Crow, Queen Latifah, Wynton Marsalis, Joan Wasser, Amadou et Mariam, Raul Midón, and Cassandra Wilson to name a few.
