About the DJ

David Ellenbogen has been spinning music on New York City’s WKCR and a number of other stations since 1997. Scores of Grammy winners have come to speak or play on his shows, and his guests have ranged from members of Steely Dan and the Allman Brothers to jazz legends McCoy Tyner and Yusef Lateef.

Ellenbogen spins with the goal of matching the perfect music for the perfect time and place. This often means packing the dance floor but could also be setting an ideal ambience for yoga or intense conversation.

All four years of his Ragas Live Festival (a broadcast which features twenty-four hours of live raga music, performed by more than seventy musicians) and other highlights from his radio shows are available on his NYC Radio Live podcast, which has reached listeners in eighty countries.

Museum admission is free every Friday night from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. during K2 Friday Nights.
