Walk With Me

Film Screening, and Monastic Encounters

Saturday, August 19, 2017
2:00 PM–3:30 PM
Sold Out

2017, Max Pugh and Marc J. Francis, UK, 88 min.

There is only the present moment. Join narrator Benedict Cumberbatch in Walk With Me, a cinematic journey into the world of Zen Buddhist master Thich Nhat Hanh and his Plum Village retreat in rural France. Filmed over three years with unprecedented access, this immersive film is a meditation on a community of people who have given up all their possessions to lead a monastic life.

The screening will conclude with a group meditation at 3:40 PM that draws inspiration from the sound installation Le Corps Sonore at the base of the Museum’s Spiral staircase, led by monastics featured in the film.

“A moving and wonderful film that captures the essence, depth, and the poetry of Thich Nhat Hanh”¦ a great work full of love.”
