Rubin By Design: Museum Architecture Tours

Celebrate Archtober and Open House New York with a special tour of the Rubin Museum. One of the most striking elements of the Rubin Museum is the space of the building itself. Join us for a free public tour highlighting connections between the Rubin Museum’s architecture and the design and structure of traditional art from the Himalayan region.You’ll also encounter Le Corps Sonore, a sound installation tuned to the architecture of the Museum’s iconic spiral staircase.

For two days each October, the Annual Open House New York Weekend unlocks the doors of New York’s most important buildings, offering an extraordinary opportunity to experience the city and meet the people who design, build, and preserve New York.

Admission to the Museum is free during OHNY weekend.
