About the Book

Some of the country’s best art is hidden in plain sight, in museums largely unknown outside their regions. How works by masters like Rembrandt, Picasso, van Gogh, Monet, and O’Keeffe wound up where they did is a colorful tale of American art collecting. A visit to each of the fifty museums in this book offers an intimate, personal art-viewing experience for both business and leisure travelers.

About the Author

For her debut book, A Love for the Beautiful: Discovering America’s Hidden Art Museums, art and travel writer Susan Jaques crisscrossed the country in search of extraordinary, lesser-known museums. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in history from Stanford University and an MBA from UCLA’s Graduate School of Management. Susan lives in Los Angeles where she’s a gallery docent at the J. Paul Getty Museum.
