Spiral Music

Spiral Music presents acoustic music every Wednesday evening at the base of the Museum’s spiral staircase. Artists who specialize in music from the Himalayas and South Asia are invited to forge a connection between their music and the art in the galleries.


About the Musicians

Aditya Lama, an award-winning guitarist and vocalist, is a Nepal-born musician who has performed worldwide, concentrating in Nepali, Indian, and other fusion genres. Gaining a formidable presence as an emerging artist in the United States, Lama continues to perform in community settings as well as popular Nepali venues. Most recently Lama performed a welcome concert for the renowned Nepali saxophone player Subarana Bahadur Subha during his visit to New York.

Gobinda Sen is a passionate percussionist who has performed at events throughout Nepal and India, including Silence Festival, Nepfest, and Live and Loud. He is currently attending college in New York and looking forward to creative opportunities in the United States.
