Arun Ramamurthy + Bala Skandan

Spiral Music presents acoustic music every Wednesday evening at the base of the Museum’s spiral staircase. Artists who specialize in music from the Himalayas and South Asia are invited to forge a connection between their music and the art in the galleries.

About the Musicians

Arun Ramamurthy is a versatile violinist who is making his mark in Indian classical music scene. Trained in Carnatic (South Indian Classical) music by the distinguished violinist Anantha Krishnan, and then later by the violin maestro brothers, Dr. Mysore Manjunath & Sri Mysore Nagaraj, Arun has become one an in-demand violinist in the United States.

Arun will be joined by Bala Skandan on mridangam.
