October Sundays: Celebrate Children’s Day & Diwali All Month Long!
Children’s day is YOUR day, and we’re celebrating it all month at the Rubin Family Sundays. Get your game face and learn how to make and play traditional Nepalese board games with your family. Sculpt cute, silly, or scary game pieces, then play to win! In honor of Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, you can also create traditional diyas (candles) to take a little festival light home with you.
In honor of October’s special family celebrations, live musicians will perform in the Education Center to set the tone for festive, art-filled afternoons.
Feel free to BYOG (Bring Your Own [Board] Game) to Family Sundays in October.
Family Sundays are made possible by New York Life. Additional support has been provided by Con Edison, Agnes Gund, and public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
Free for children and accompanying adults
