David Wilcox’s thirteen albums abound with songs that open new doors of experience.
“There are people that expect a lot from music,” he has said.? “It’s like a conversation with a friend where you get reminded of who you are; it wakes up what’s best in your heart.”
A native of Ohio, Wilcox has based his career out of the South since the 1980s, though his songs roam as far as his solo performances.? In fact, his most recent record Airstream was written after returning from a two-year sojourn across the country with his wife and son in an Airstream trailer.
As the singer and songwriter has evolved, in conventional concerts to more unusual appearances in seminaries, biker bars, and yoga centers, he has found an appreciative audience ready to receive his particular brand of road wisdom.
