26-year-old Dominick Farinacci, trumpet virtuoso and E1 Music recording artist, recently released his US debut CD, Lovers, Tales & Dances. Prior to this, he released six recordings in Japan, which have garnered him various awards including three Gold Discs and the “International New Star Award,” which has also been awarded to Diana Krall and Christian McBride. He has performed/recorded with many jazz greats including Wynton Marsalis, Joe Lovano, Jason Miles, and Joe LaBarbera.
A Juilliard School graduate, Dominick cites his greatest influences as Louis Armstrong, Harry James, and Clifford Brown. This year he has performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival, Toronto Jazz Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival, Birdland and Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola in NYC, and has caught the attention of many musical icons:
Quincy Jones says “This kid is 360 degrees!”
Russ Titelman says “Dominick’s tone shines…he is reminiscent of Clifford Brown and Miles Davis.”
Don Heckman says “Dominick has the chops, the imagination and the presence to be a breakout artist.”
