A family living on less than a dollar a day in rural Nepal wins the globalization jackpot: a charity scholarship for their daughter to go to school in the capital. She promises to return to free them from poverty, but when she does not, the family realizes that they have paid a heavy price.
A Q&A with Julie Bridgham, the film’s executive producer, will follow the screening.
