Henri Cartier-Bresson: India in Full Frame

Opening Night at K2 Lounge

6:00 PM–10:00 PM

We are delighted to invite you to the exhibition opening of Henri Cartier-Bresson: India in Full Frame, with a celebration free to the public as part of our ongoing K2 Friday Nights. The exhibition presents images of India by the pioneering photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson, co-founder of Magnum Photos. The selection, made by the artist, includes images of political upheaval, the final moments of Mahatma Gandhi’s life, and scenes of everyday life in Cartier-Bresson’s street photography style that has influenced generations of artists.

Opening night will include tours of the exhibition, an introduction by the curator, a music set by DJ Shi Shi, and cocktail specials for purchase in the K2 Lounge, and free admission to the museum from 6:00-10:00 p.m.

About the DJ

Tastefully fusing genres ranging from hip-hop to dancehall to house to R&B, DJ Shi Shi injects an unmistakable sense of style into each one of his sets. He has played in venues across New York City and always looks to create an inclusive vibe that brings his listeners closer to one another.
