Join us for an in-depth discussion with Nawang Gurung focusing on the village of Ghiling, Mustang, in Nepal, which was recently destroyed by the tragic earthquake. Nawang, a native of the village, will share reflections on growing up in Ghiling while highlighting the rich cultural and artistic traditions of the region.

About the Speaker

Nawang Gurung has served as a translator and assistant for National Geographic filmmaker Liesl Clark on the documentary, Cave People of the Himalayas. He also has worked closely with Sienna Craig, an anthropologist at Dartmouth College, focusing on Mustang and has co-authored numerous publications based on this work
