Inside Tibet

Inside Tibet chronicles the OSS mission to Tibet led by Captain Brooke Dolan and Major Ilya Tolstoy during World War II.

Filmed in 1942, Inside Tibet traces Dolan and Tolstoy’s journey from Gangtok, India to Lhasa, Tibet. On their mission, the men captured rare footage of Tibetan monasteries, the sacred Black Hat dance, and the seven year old Dalai Lama.
