Journey and Transformation: Exploring the Fluidity of Life

Tour and Conversation for Caregivers

Wednesday, November 7, 2018
5:30 PM–7:00 PM

No one lives forever. Can art help change our perspectives on life and death? As part of CaringKind’s connect2culture program, caregivers are invited to join us in exploring the big questions about life and death, as presented in the Rubin art galleries. This event is intended for caregivers and not for persons with dementia.

Impermanence is a term often used in Tibetan Buddhism as a reminder of the cycle of death and rebirth. At this program, caregivers will open their minds to a different understanding of time and form a new relationship with the future. Step into a world where past, present, and future exist all at once by exploring how contemporary artists and traditional Buddhist artworks from the Himalayas lend us new perspectives on our journey.

This program begins with a gallery tour followed by conversation in the Rubin Museum’s Café Serai including complimentary tea and refreshments.

Journey and Transformation is presented in collaboration with CaringKind—The Heart of Alzheimer’s Caregiving.
