About the DJ
Raised in Australia and Asia but based in Brooklyn, DJ/producer AKKI brings a fresh East-meets-West flavor to the dancefloor. Not only is she an experienced DJ, but also a dynamic producer, trained electric organist, and songwriter who brings a rare multi-cultural flavor to the electronic dance music scene.
While maintaining an underground, deep-disco feel to her sets and productions, she consistently pushes genre boundaries by experimenting with tribal rhythms, afro-tech vocals, and Asian/Middle Eastern native instruments.
Museum admission is free every Friday night from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. during K2 Friday Nights.
