Begoña, Kaleidoscope EP Release

Begoña is one-half of Sleepy & Boo, and on April 19 at the K2 Lounge, she will be celebrating the release of her forthcoming Kaleidoscope EP on New York’s 3Bridge Records imprint. This release—with its three dynamic tracks “Prism,” “Mystic Rapture,” and “That Which Is Seen”—is her first foray into the dancefloor side of deep house. Her previous two releases focused on downtempo and chill-out sounds, with both EPs making a mark on the 3Bridge Elements label. Kaleidoscope features an array of influences and styles, including heavy dub sounds and moody, melodic after-hours grooves. Begoña’s production inspiration comes from the spiritual world and is rooted in her daily meditation practice and the belief that music can help everyone transcend to a new level of consciousness and release. Her journey into music creation began with a series of 20-minute meditation sound paths, all of which are available on her Soundcloud page, and she continues to evolve and develop as a producer.

The Kaleidoscope EP will be released on Friday, April 26, on 3Bridge Records via Beatport and all digital music retailers.

About the DJs

Sleepy & Boo’s undying passion for underground music pervades everything they do. As DJs, producers, and event organizers, the husband-and-wife duo have become fixtures in the dynamic music scene of New York City. They have left their mark on countless dancefloors around the world, mixing together tracks from across the musical spectrum to craft a hypnotic, energetic groove and atmosphere that inspires release and euphoria amongst partygoers.

From deep, dreamy house to pulsating techno, Sleepy & Boo’s musical range has earned them a loyal following and respect throughout the industry. Their diverse taste can be clearly experienced through their original music. Making their production debut in 2015, Sleepy & Boo have steadily released a wide range of tracks, collaborating with international labels including Yoshitoshi, Where the Heart Is, Cenote, 3Bridge Records, Nervous, De-Noize, Nite Grooves, and many more. 2019 is off to a busy start, with releases and remixes on the UK’s Static, Europe’s Dark Beauty, Volante, and Intimate Project Music to name a few.

Current projects for Sleepy & Boo include their weekly #ILLUSIONradio show on Pioneer DJ Radio, which takes its inspiration from their Illusion club night at now-departed NYC nightlife institution Cielo. They’re also residents at their own Frequencies party at TBA Brooklyn. Recent out-of-town sets include appearances in Seattle, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Berlin, Miami, Atlantic City, and more.

Museum admission is free every Friday night from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. during K2 Friday Nights.
