Cocktails, art, and music make a heady mix at K2 Friday Nights. Café Serai becomes the K2 Lounge, offering a special pan-Asian menu to accompany the evening’s DJ. About the DJ
$mall ¢hange (aka James Dier) is a self-proclaimed music addict who’s been collecting and DJ-ing for over 15 years and has thousands of records from a range of genres and time periods. $mall ¢hange has been involved with WFMU, the world-renowned freeform station, for over a decade and performs regular sets on AOL’s dance station and Giant Step’s Jukebox.
He has also had one-off shows for Dublab in LA, Tim Sweeney’s Beats in Space show, WPS1 (MoMA PS1″²s online radio station), and East Village Radio. $mall ¢hange has been involved with the legendary Rubulad crew for over eight years and has played in a number of downtown New York and Brooklyn venues, including Nublu, Hiro, Supreme Trading, Cielo, and Pianos.
Museum admission is free every Friday night from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. during K2 Friday Nights.
