Mindfulness Meditation Online

Whether you’re a beginner, a dabbler, or a skilled meditator seeking the company of others, join expert teachers in a 45-minute weekly program, each inspired by a different work of art from the Rubin Museum’s collection. The program includes an opening talk, a 20-minute sitting session, and a closing discussion.

This online meditation session will be led by Lama Aria Drolma.

This program is presented in partnership with Sharon Salzberg, the Interdependence Project, and Parabola Magazine.

About the Speaker

Lama Aria Drolma is an ordained Buddhist teacher and is trained in the Karma Kagyu and Shangpa Kagyu traditions of Tibetan Buddhism, with over a decade of monastic study and meditation training. She was born in India, and in her early years practiced the Hindu traditions. Later she studied under a renowned Tibetan Buddhist master and practiced Tibetan Buddhism under his guidance.

Lama Aria Drolma is a graduate of the traditional three years, three months Tibetan Buddhist Retreat, which is an advanced cloistered meditation training program, at Palpung Thubten Choling Monastery in Upstate New York. She has also studied and trained extensively in the Dharma Path Program of mindfulness and contemplation.

Lama Aria Drolma teaches worldwide leading retreats, workshops and corporate meditation programs and is a popular guest speaker at universities and various organizations. She conveys the ancient Buddhist principles, making them relevant in our ever day life, helping us to cultivate loving kindness and compassion and to bring about a transformation of contentment and a genuine sense of well-being.
