Senior Day

Monthly event for visitors 65 and older

Thursday, August 6, 2020
11:00 AM–5:00 PM

On the first Thursday of the month, seniors (65 and older) receive free admission to the galleries. The day features a range of free programs.

Let the artwork in our galleries inspire your meditation practice. Join us for a gallery tour followed by a guided meditation designed specifically for seniors as part of our Senior Day programming, when adults 65 and older receive free admission to the galleries. Artwork and themes will rotate each month.

The program includes a 15-minute tour in the galleries followed by a 45-minute guided meditation. Meditators at all skill levels are welcome. Chairs will be provided.

Free for seniors. Limited capacity; check in at the front desk for a ticket.

Develop your creative writing skills with our Senior Writing Workshop.

Make connections with the art in the galleries through lively group discussion and creative writing exercises. The program meets at the base of the spiral staircase in the Museum lobby for a talk and exploration in the galleries, followed by a writing workshop.

Groups of 10 or more (up to 15) can pay a discounted per person rate for a private Museum tour on Senior Days. For more information, fill out the “Book a Tour” form.

  • Seniors (65 and older) and caregivers: $10.00 each
