Shantum Seth is an ordained teacher in the Zen lineage of the Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh and the foremost guide to the sites associated with the Buddha. He has been leading pilgrimages “in the footsteps of the Buddha” since 1988.
Shantum Seth has used his considerable experience to contribute to a number of books, including Walking with the Buddha, I Have Arrived, I Am Home and Volunteers Against Conflict. He has also been a consultant on films, including the BBC’s Life of the Buddha, The Story of India (episodes of which will be screened September 2, 9, and 16 at RMA) and the in-production Hollywood film Buddha.
He has been in much demand as a guest speaker at many forums, including the World Presidents’ Organization, the Young Presidents’ Organization, the UNDP executive board, the Chicago Council for Cultural Affairs, the Confederation of Indian Industries, and a number of universities.
