Rubin Museum Educator since 2015

When I started working here I knew very little about the Himalayan region and art, but over time I grew to appreciate and learn more about the art and the vast Himalayan culture. It’s such a beautiful region that produces wonderful art that I think everyone should admire.

I’ve learned that engagement with visitors and how you present information on tours is just as important as the knowledge about the art itself. The imagery in the art we have on display can often be misinterpreted by people who are not familiar with it. I love giving tours because I love introducing this art to them, thus introducing new ways compassion and wisdom can be illustrated.

Typically leads tours:

Weekdays, Wednesday through Sunday

Favorite tour themes:

Peaceful & Wrathful, Femininity and Form
