Docent since 2007
I joined the Museum as a member the first week it opened, as a way to “travel” to the Himalayas in one subway ride. I first started as a docent when I lost my job, because I thought volunteering at the museum was the best use of my time. I always appreciate when visitors enjoy their experience and want to come back or tell their friends.
