A sinister underworld lies just beneath the surface of every suburban home town”¦

Acclaimed as one of the greatest films of the nineteen eighties, the film earned Lynch his second Academy Award nomination for Best Director. Accorded cult status, it is widely regarded as one of Lynch’s finest works and ranked as one of the 100 Greatest Films of All Time by Entertainment Weekly in 1999.

“For those with the temerity to follow it anywhere, BlueVelvet is as fascinating as it is freakish. It confirms Mr. Lynch’s stature as an innovator, a superb technician, and someone best not encountered in a dark alley.” ““ Janet Maslin, New York Times
