Senior Thursday Awaken Virtual Tour

The Importance of a Teacher

Thursday, June 3, 2021
11:30 AM–12:15 PM

In Tibetan Buddhism, the teacher’s role is supreme. The newest exhibition at the Rubin Museum, Awaken: A Tibetan Buddhist Journey Toward Enlightenment, spotlights teachers in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition beginning with its founder, Padmasambhava.

Take a virtual tour of the exhibition and reflect on the teachers in your own life. What are the most important lessons they’ve taught you? How have they helped you on our own journey?

This tour is part of the Awaken Senior Tour series. Attend a single event or register each month to join the whole series!

Senior Day is supported by the Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation.
