Jog Blues

Jog Blues brings together masters of jazz, blues, and Indian classical music in a twenty-first-century mix, creating an experience drawing from deep traditions and swinging toward the future. The band is named for Jog, the Indian midnight raga, and the blues, the most American of music genres.

All these musical traditions balance compositions and known forms with deep and exhilarating improvisations. They require the musicians to deeply listen to each other. What results is a journey into the suffering, joys, and liberation of the human experience.
