Rubin Grants

In support of research and art projects

We support artists, creatives, and scholars in the field of Himalayan art with a grants program that expands awareness and understanding of Himalayan art globally.

  • The Rubin x Research grant program aims to expand research of Himalayan art with the goal of generating further knowledge, documentation, and general awareness of the field.
  • The Rubin x Art Projects grant program supports artists and creatives whose practices give visibility to the rich cultural legacy and living traditions of the Himalayan region, and its power to inspire today’s society.

Rubin Grants is a newly launched program and is subject to modification in future grants cycles. The initial round of grants in 2024 will encompass grant support in the range of $2,500 to $25,000. For more information on the types of grants awarded, eligibility, and application process, please refer to individual program pages.

The Rubin Grants Program is supported by generous donations from the Museum’s Board of Trustees, individual donors, and members.
