Due to climate change, this life-giving force is under threat, creating a ripple effect for Nepal, the Indian subcontinent, and the world beyond. Dr. Upmanu Lall, Director of the Columbia Water Center and the Alan and Carol Silberstein Professor of Engineering at Columbia University, will give a talk on this vital issue, followed by an audience Q&A.

Dr. Upmanu Lall is the Director of the Columbia Water Center and the Alan and Carol Silberstein Professor of Engineering at Columbia University. He is a world-renowned expert in statistical and numerical modeling of hydrologic and climatic systems and water resource systems planning and management.
