Spiral Music presents acoustic music every Wednesday evening at the base of the Museum’s spiral staircase. Artists who specialize in music from the Himalayas and South Asia are invited to forge a connection between their music and the art in the galleries.

 

About the Musicians


Tendor is a Tibetan musician and songwriter born and raised in India. His first album, Logchopa, was released in 2007, with his second album, Ma~dro, coming out in 2017. His favorite instruments are dranyen, the traditional Tibetan lute, and the acoustic guitar.

Tenzin Choeying is an accomplished guitarist and bassist and a founding member of the R Train Band. A graduate of the Tibetan Children’s Village, the elite boarding school in Dharamsala, Choeying trained as a classical musician in his formative years before picking up the guitar to join the timeless tradition of rebellion through music.
