The Rubin Research

During our temporary closure, the Rubin Museum is launching The Lotus Effect, a digital to physical participatory installation comprising folded lotuses contributed by you, the public. Hear more about this project in this short video and learn how to create your own origami lotus with artist Uttam Grandhi. Photograph your creation and dedicate it to someone or something that supports your resilience. Share your lotus on social media using the #The LotusEffect and tagging @RubinMuseum. Details for contributing your lotus to the physical installation when the museum reopens can be found here: The Lotus Effect
