This week’s meditation session is led by DaRa Williams and the theme is Generosity.
Golden in color and adorned with jewels, this 14th-century painting from Tibet depicts Ratnasambhava sitting in full lotus position with his right hand open and palm facing outward in the gesture of supreme generosity. Head of the Jewel (ratna means jewel) Buddha Family, Ratnasambhava appears as the Buddha of the south and corresponds with the element of earth and the season of fall. With his gesture of generosity, he destroys pride and greed and attempts to bring equanimity and equality to all.
