This week’s meditation session is led by Sharon Salzberg and the theme is Interdependence. The guided meditation begins at 14:23.
Loving Mother of Wisdom, known in Tibetan as Sherab Chamma, is the principal female deity of the Bon religion. She is a compassionate mother figure who embodies the nature of wisdom. As the nature of wisdom she is the mother of all Bon deities and enlightened ones. The four principal deities in the Bon religion are known as the Four Transcendent Ones, and Sherab Chamma, the only female, stands as the first. She is known by many names and has several forms that are both peaceful and wrathful.
