The Rubin x Art Projects grant program supports artists and creatives whose practices give visibility to the rich cultural legacy and living traditions of the Himalayan region and its power to inspire today’s society.
We support artists and creatives in all disciplines in the creation of new artworks and projects that give visibility to the rich cultural legacy and living traditions of the Himalayan region. Artist project grants fund the exploration of concepts and ideas in Himalayan art that have the power to inspire today’s society. Rubin x Art Projects grants offer support of $2,500 to $25,000.
We prioritize the funding of new artworks and projects that will be accessible to a wide and diverse audience, as part of exhibitions or larger projects such as art fairs. We do not fund commercial projects.
Artists and creatives of all ages and career stages (working in all mediums) based anywhere in the world can apply for grants. Co-funding is encouraged.
Grants through this program are offered once yearly. Grant proposals are reviewed by a committee of Rubin staff and additional experts as needed and appropriate.
