This painting begins at the upper left by depicting methods for gaining or losing weight. For the former specific foods, massage treatments, and sound sleep are recommended, as well as fostering a general sense of happiness. For the latter, certain foods, emetics, purgatives, and cleansings are recommended. Following these illustrations are general dietary and conduct treatments for ailments influenced by wind, bile and phlegm.
