Ganapati is a form of Ganesha, a deity who is synonymous with new beginnings and is revered as the remover of obstacles. Individuals often make offerings to Ganesha at the beginning of new endeavors to express appreciation and ensure a smooth path forward. This intricate sculpture portrays Ganapati wielding various weapons in his 12 hands, including an axe, arrow, hook, sword, and spear. These weapons are associated with his role as the remover of obstacles.

The dancing form of Ganapati evokes the cosmic dance of existence, and the cycles of creation and destruction. Ganapati is perpetually in motion, embracing the ebb and flow of life. As we behold his majesty, let’s reflect on our response to change, and how it can be perceived as an opportunity, depending on how we look at it.
