Khenpo Yeshi Rinpoche was born in 1969 in Nakchu, eastern Tibet, where he developed an early dedication to the study and practice of the Dharma. At 13, he received empowerments and teachings in the Longchen Nyingthig tradition from eminent Dzogchen masters. At 20, he traveled to South India and trained extensively in the Geluk, Kagyu, and Nyingma traditions at Sera, Dzogchen, and Drikung Jangchup Ling monasteries, excelling in both sutra and tantra.
In 1993, he completed a traditional three-year retreat in Nepal under Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, receiving profound Dzogchen instructions. He later taught at Ka-Nying Shedrup Ling Monastery and Rangjung Yeshe Institute, contributing to monastic and academic curricula.
Since 2001, he has taught internationally. He holds degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, and is completing a PhD in Dzogchen.
